6 cruelty-free skincare products we love

We are so excited to share about this topic because it is something we tend to forget or unintentionally ignore. We all love taking care of our skin, but traditional skincare brands often use cruel production methods. If you would like to use to high-quality and ethically produced skincare, there are still many options out there.

Countless vegan and cruelty free skincare brands have popped up in recent years, providing us with great natural products. We are sharing our six favourite products under €30 that can be introduced into your daily routine.

While vegan and cruelty free are closely related, they have a different meaning in the world of beauty and skincare. Vegan refers to the ingredients inside the products, meaning that no derivatives from animals are used to create the product. Cruelty free, on the other hand, means that the products have not been tested on animals. Some countries, most importantly China, require beauty products to be tested on animals before they can be sold. Therefore many large brands are still testing on animals because they wouldn’t want to lose their sales on the Chinese market.

Many brands have taken over the skincare market and created quality products that are not just great for the environment and the animals, but also for your skin.

1. Vitamin-C Cream Cleanser by Facetheory (€11)

I usually find skin cleansers to be very harsh on the skin. They can leave your skin feeling dry rather than clean and refreshed. This one is so gentle on the face and will you give you the soft skin of a baby. The base is a cream instead of foaming gel and is therefore super soft and hydrating. Find it on their website.

2. Centella Calming Gel Essence by Barr Cosmetics (€19)

I had never used a calming gel before but I have to say the results have been great. After I cleansed my face first, I massaged the gel onto areas of my skin that tend to break out when I lack sleep or have a little bit of stress. It really does have a calming effect on these areas and breakouts tend to diminish after using the gel for a few days. Find it on Koja Beauty.

3. Daily Skin Hydrating Water by Klairs (€24)

Hydrating water is by far my favourite skincare product. It is so gentle on the skin and always gives me such a fresh feeling. This one by Klairs is such a lovely product and has zero smell or chemicals in it. I apply it to a reusable pad and wipe it all over my face. I love to use my derma roller after applying this to wake up my face. Find it on Koja Beauty.

4. Regena-C Moisturizer by Facetheory (€13)

I’m a tough critic when it comes to moisturizers, but this one has really pleased me so far. It is light, smooth and easily absorbed by the skin. It is best applied on a clean skin in the morning or at night if you prefer. Find it here.

5. Time Stop Collagen Ampule by The Plant Base (€30)

I got myself this product after reading some amazing reviews and the great hit it was in Korea. It is supposed to stimulate collagen production and lift your skin. You add a few drops to your hand and massage it onto your skin and it will we absorbed almost instantly. I hope I’ll be able to share its long-term effects with you after having used it for several months. Find it on Koja Beauty.

6. Porebright N10 Serum by Facetheory (€14)

This serum is great for those of you that struggle with visible pores. While this is very normal and not something to be embarrassed about, it can make us a little insecure. If that is the case, this natural serum can help with that. I apply it to my problem areas and it will diminish my pore’s visibility, without having to clog them with makeup. Find it here.

Porebright Serum N10 with 10% Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid

I use most products on a daily basis because they are very gentle on the skin. Hope you will love them as much as I do.
