Gluten-Free Apple Cake

A perfect sweet fall treat to comfort you in this rainy weather. This cake is glutenfree, refined sugar free and really easy to make. It has an amazing soft and fudgy texture which makes it a decadent healthier sweet treat.

Prep time: 10 min

Baking time: 45 min

Servings: 8 slices

Ingredients

155 grams of smooth apple sauce

135 grams of maple or agave syrup

80 grams of melted coconut oil

50 ml of plantbased milk

100 grams of almond flour

100 grams of oat flour

2 tbsp of corn flour

1 tsp of baking powder

1 tsp of baking soda

pinch of salt

1 tsp of vanilla essence

1 tsp of cinnamon

1/2 tsp of ground ginger

1/2 apple

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius
  2. In a bowl combine the wet ingredients until smooth
  3. Add in the dry ingredients one by one and combine well until you reach a smooth dough
  4. Peel the 1/2 apple and cut it up into very thin slices
  5. Pour the dough in a small cake tin with parchment paper and put in the apple slices
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes on middle rack or until a toothpick comes out dry
  7. Once it’s ready, take the cake out of the thin and let it cool on a drying rack before slicing
