Red Velvet Pancakes w/ Chocolate Sauce

These are the perfect pancakes to make this holiday season and they get their beautiful red color from a secret ingredient. They are so easy to make, super tasty and nutrient dense thanks to the Biotona superfoods.

Prep time: 15 min

Servings: 3 pancakes

Ingredients

Pancakes

90 grams of oat flour

1 tbsp of Biotona Red Beet Powder

pinch of salt

1 tbsp of Biotona Veggie Protein Powder

125 ml of plantbased milk

100 grams of smooth apple sauce

2 tbsp of maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla essence

Chocolate Sauce

2 tbsp of coconut oil (melted)

1,5 tbsp of maple syrup

2 tbsp of Biotona Cacao Powder

Instructions

  1. Start by combining the dry and wet pancake ingredients in seperate bowls
  2. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture little by little
  3. Stir until the pancake dough is well combined
  4. Heat a little cooking oil in a non-sticking pan on low-medium heat
  5. Add 1/3 of the batter to the pan
  6. Cook the pancake on one side until you can easily detach it from the pan (+- 1 min)
  7. Flip the pancake and cook on the other side for roughly the same amount of time
  8. Repeat this process for the other two pancakes
  9. Make the chocolate sauce by combining the melted coconut oil with the maple syrup and cacao powder
  10. Pour the sauce over the pancakes and enjoy!
