During the research stage of Guud, Morgane and her partner discovered that 75% of woman don’t have any knowledge about their hormonal cycle. To solve this problem Morgane started to share insights about the menstrual cycle through webinars and helped a lot of women to eat and move according to their cycle. From there on Guud was born. Guud offers dietary supplements to women who want to improve their cycle or fertility. Besides this you get the support you deserve and you can be part of an active community where you get accessible content to help you discover your inner superwoman.

Which issues surrounding the menstrual cycle do you want to address with Guud?
From our survey we learned that 90% of women suffer from symptoms during their menstrual cycle. Most women think that cramps, headaches, mood swings, hormonal acne and fatigue are part of being a woman, but I can assure you that they don’t have to be. With Guud we offer support and products to improve these issues. By making small adjustments in your lifestyle a lot of these problems can be improved.
Why is it important to understand your cycle?
It will help you to make better decisions and feel better in your skin. The menstrual cycle has four phases and during every phase different hormones are being secreted. This will in turn affect the way you feel and perform. It will also determine which workouts are recommended at what stage and which ingredients should be added to your diet to support your cycle. I’ve rediscovered my inner strength since I’ve started to eat and move according to my cycle and I believe every woman has the right to a healthy cycle, whether she has a desire to have children or not.

Do you think there are many taboos surrounding the female cycle?
The fact alone that 58% of women are embarrassed about the fact that they bleed every month proves that we have a long way to go. We can only dismantle taboos by talking about them. That’s why my husband and I have launched “Buitenskamers” (translated: outdoors); short video’s where we discuss topics and have conversations between husband and wife that usually take place indoor. By involving men in these conversations we try to break all the taboos.
We get daily messages from women who suffer from menstrual or infertility issues, but we also get so many positive messages. Sometimes I am the first to know when someone is pregnant before their own family or friends.
